Amorex
One of the nicest stallions you'll ever meet. World-class gaits and conformation, and exceptionally prepotent. This USDF Grand Champion Mature Horse, Sporthorse Series, passes on his temperament and build. An amazing 27% of Amorex foals, have been 25 points (old score system), the highest score given in Swedish inspection for North America, their individual years. And 85% of Amorex foals have received a First Class rating at the SWB inspection. Amorex crosses very well with thoroughbred mares, and we have the numbers to prove it. Foals from Jockey Club mares receive full Swedish Warmblood papers...We also love our Amorex foals from warmblood mares, and they have great scores too!

For a limited number of bookings for 2008; breeding fee will be $750. $300 booking fee included.

Rumi as a foal (Amorex/Christabel)

Once he grew up, Rumi was 2nd in the nation, USDF, adult amateur training level,
and 2nd in HOY awards, Swedish for same level.

They should name this baby Badge of Courage...beautiful filly from Amorex/Kristol. Congratulations to the Kern family, who nursed their mare through a non-pregnancy related health crisis and surgery, to be rewarded with this beautiful filly, shown at a few days old. Filly is a full sister to Ari, below.

Hmm she does look a bit like her dad!

Big Baby Horses! Ari (Amorex/Kristol) with owner Lori Lauver, getting her qualifying scores at 2nd level, Festival of the Horse, Los Angeles.

News Flash--Ari and Trip Harting won 1st place at Del Mar National Horse Show, 3rd Level test 2!

(So-why do we call it Magpie Farm? We keep a gully below our house as a wild area, just a thicket of the native Yakima plants and trees, the last in this area where nice homes are moving in. So it seems all the magpies in the region have moved here, and they way outnumber us! They are perfectly at home on our front porch, eating the cat food and scolding the dogs. Sometimes we even see one sitting proudly on one of the mares' backs.)
