Perhsson has recently been
sold and is back at Caduceus Farm.
Pehrsson was
originally picked out and imported by Linda Zang.
His
farm name
was Gig, reputedly because Ms. Zang first saw him
trotting after his mother Viveka,( a famous driving
mare) who
was pulling a gig. However, upon his approval as
a licensed Swedish Warmblood stallion, Gig was named
Pehrsson in honor of his breeder, Arvid Pehrsson.
Mr.
Pehrsson was quite elderly and in a serious illness,
when he got the call in Sweden that Gig was approved.
Pehrsson was
started in dressage by Pierre
St. Jacques. Uwe Steiner trained
Perhsson to the level of Grand
Prix. Owned for many years by
Swedish warmblood breeder Susan
Haupt, Pehrsson competed
up to Prix St. George and Intermediare
1 with Peggy Judy. In his first
outing at Intermediare 1, with
Peggy Judy riding, he scored
72%! Peggy Judy and Pehrsson
cliniced for many years with
Denny Callin, who was very fond
of him.
This
lovely old stallion carries the best in true swedish
bloodlines. He is a rare son of Urbino, and his dam
Viveka was an Elite mare, owned by Linda Zang.

URBINO
Pehrsson's foals
have done very well, and all are praised for their
rideability and good temperaments.Every owner of
a Pehrsson foal that we have heard from, has commented
that they are totally happy with their horse! We
are totally thrilled to be expecting two Pehrsson
foals for next spring...

Pehrsson
ridden by Peggy Judy
Pehrsson is a
charming, kind, stallion. In the time he was owned by Susan
Haupt, and later leased by Peggy Judy, he was a favorite
with everyone that knew him. Peggy competed Gig to Prix
St. George and Intermediare 1, and also occasionally put
her students on him for lessons. in Colorado, he was often
referred to as "the nicest stallion we've ever seen
at a show". Pehrsson is
a little lighter-boned than Amorex, thus making him suitable
for mares that are a bit heavy, or also for a more moderate
height in the foal (Amorex definitely adds height!)
